How Our Products are Made
Quality Supplements Start with the Best Ingredients
Care Nutrition includes only the finest ingredients in all of its supplements. Most of the ingredients used in our products are natural and our list of acceptable excipients ("other ingredients") is very strict.
From the finest sources around the world, only the best raw materials are selected in smaller quantities to ensure the ingredients are always fresh. Materials are tested when received using analytical methods outlined by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), National Formulary (NF), American Organization of Analytical Chemists (AOAC) and Food Chemical Codex (FCC) to ensure purity and quality. This is followed by several additional laboratory tests using state-of-the-art methods and equipment before certifying the ingredients for use.
Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices
Quality ingredients only deliver superior results when processed to exacting standards. Care Nutrition products are certified for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) by the Natural Products Association. These stringent
standards are recognized and reviewed by the U.S Federal Drug Administration (FDA) and by many countries worldwide to ensure the quality and integrity of foods and pharmaceutical products throughout the entire production process.
Quality manufacturing procedures include, but are not limited to:
- Raw materials undergo microbiological analysis to ensure the absence of salmonella, E. coli, yeast and mold before moving into the production process.
- Manufacturing rooms and equipment are constantly inspected.
- Weighing is always double-checked and recorded by computers to eliminate human error
- Supplements are tested every half-hour during production runs to ensure uniformity standards are met.
- Finished production-line samples are analyzed before approving product lot.
- Careful tracking and record-keeping are performed, and samples from each production run are retained for at least three years.
Superior Packaging
Every product lot is batch-tested before it is released to Quality Assurance for packaging. Specifications to meet include, but are not limited to:
- Satisfactory product analysis results that meet all product specifications.
- Proper product disintegration and dissolution rates; tested in a laboratory system that mimics a "normal" stomach. This ensures the supplement breaks down properly and delivers the correct amount of product to your body over the proper timeframe for optimum results.
- Full and careful review of completed tracking documents.
Once product gets final approval, most are packaged in Amber-colored glass bottles to protect them from light and moisture. This increases shelf life and ensures the product remains at full potency through the "Best By" date.
